**WARNING FOR ALL COLLEGE BOUND STUDENTS**

As the Del Aire Neighborhood Watch coordinator, I attempt to post information about The Red Zone each year around this time just as our college bound coeds are heading off to school. Please take the time to read these articles, and more importantly, pass them on to anyone you know that is leaving for college. A little information can be the key to their safety and a successful college experience. The articles reference a phenomenon that occurs around this time EVERY YEAR when young adults leave home for the first time to attend school and find themselves vulnerable to sexual assault. This could easily be a topic of an endless discussion. But we are not interested a social debate here. Let us just help our young adults be safe. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/loving-bravely/201808/talking-college-students-about-the-red-zone https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/college-game-plan/what-you-need-know-about-red-zone-when-campus-sexual-n649686 https://www.offgridweb.com/survival/overcoming-sexual-assault/amp/ I will post more relevant information if anyone has any questions. BE SAFE NEIGHBORS!!!

Special Townhall Meeting with Sheriff Villanueva

at Wiseburn Watch Meeting on Wed, May 18th at 7PM

Challenger, Eli Vera, spoke at the March Wiseburn Watch Meeting about issues and policies that he believed Los Angeles County faced these days. This month, Sheriff Villanueva will be speaking to our neighborhood about the issues that affect us and how their policies will affect us. Many of our neighbors have praised or criticized law enforcement over the past couple of years. This is our opportunity to ask the sheriff directly on the current status of crime in Los Angeles County.

Invitation to Wiseburn Watch to meet Sheriff Candidate Eli Vera

This is a reminder to all Del Aire neighbors that we are invited to the Wiseburn Watch meeting this Wednesday evening to meet and ask questions from Eli Vera, candidate for Los Angeles County Sheriff.

If you have questions about crime, safety, and law enforcement policies and you want to know how Eli Vera would like to approach those issues, then this is your opportunity to ask.
